I always laughed (inwardly) when people told me that my little boy would grow up quickly ... so cliche. And yet, here he is. Five. That is such a big number to me. And it did go fast - very fast. I cannot believe he is five. I am so thankful for the five years that we have had with him - and pray that we will be able to watch him grow and learn for many, many more years!
Taking the last chain off the wall!
Present time! Lego ...
Cupcakes - yummy! No, I did not make these.
He had a few parties this year. A cousins one, early in February. Then two friend ones. One was on the Friday following his birthday with Ethan and Zachary. I took the three boys to FunMazing for the afternoon - they had a great time running around, playing soccer, and playing Fooseball. We also had a small party on Sunday with a few boys his age. This also involved a lot of running around - guess it's a five year old thing :)
We are so thankful for all that our boy has become. He is truly a thoughtful and sincere little guy. He is a giggler, a trickster, ticklish to the extreme, and can run incredibly fast (for some unknown reason this is also incredibly important to him!) He is fiesty at home, but silent and quiet anywhere else. He is content being home, and is a good player ... kind of. He is not good at sitting down and playing with toys. He IS good at pretending - and so he does, all. day. long. He loves daddy time, stories, hockey, cars and airplanes, and his sisters. We love him. Happy fifth birthday Buddy!
