How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World

We rowed the book How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World and had lots of fun :) Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of all that we did. It was a busy couple of weeks - we got lots done!

We talked about different types of transportation. Seth and Maddy wrote a sentence in their journals:

I put some shapes on the table and told Seth and Maddy to make a picture of any type of transportation they chose. They loved this activity - and made a few of them!

We also did some transportation sorting (land, sky, water) and hunting (in their toys). We did make hot air balloons as well, but no picture of those :(

Mmmmmm.... we played with apple pie playdough. So yummy smelling!

We learned about measurement and played with measuring cups and beans. My house was a mess ... but it was a quiet afternoon!

We did lots with apples too ...
* We read "10 Apples Up On Top"
* We practiced coming up with adjectives by describing apples. We reviewed our five senses and used each one to help us with this activity!
* We cut an apple open and talked about apple parts.

We had lots of fun with this book!
